Write for Us / Contribute to MosquiTalk

MosquiTalk is built on field-tested, expert-verified mosquito control content — and our “Write for Us” program is how we bring in credentialed expertise from entomologists, pest control operators (PCOs), vector-borne disease specialists, mosquito researchers and analysts, and public health professionals who want to share their expertise with our readers.

Who We’re Looking For

We welcome contributions from:

  • Entomologists/Medical Entomologists
  • Vector-control specialists
  • Licensed pest control operators (PCOs)
  • Public health professionals with mosquito-borne disease expertise
  • Researchers and academics who want to share findings in plain, accessible language

This is not a general guest-blogging program — we’re specifically looking for credentialed expertise to strengthen the accuracy and depth of our content.

Topics We’re Interested In

  • Mosquito prevention and control methods (professional insight, not just consumer tips)
  • Mosquito-borne disease awareness, transmission, and risk factors
  • Regional/seasonal mosquito behavior and control challenges
  • Public health perspectives on vector control programs
  • Corrections, clarifications, or expansions on existing MosquiTalk content, if you spot something worth improving

We do not accept unverified home remedies, promotional/sponsored content, direct treatment/medical advice beyond general awareness or any sort of backlink spam content.

What Contributors Receive

This is an unpaid, expert-contribution program and there’s no cash payment involved. We see this as social awareness work: mosquito-borne disease prevention is a genuine public health issue, and contributing here means putting real expertise toward helping readers protect themselves and their families, not just building a portfolio piece.

In exchange for your expertise, contributors receive:

  • A full author bio with your credentials, on a dedicated bio page.
  • A link to your professional profile (LinkedIn, practice, or organization website).
  • Public credit as a MosquiTalk Contributor.
  • Exposure to our audience of readers actively researching mosquito control and prevention.
  • On request, we’re happy to discuss additional visibility options — such as a dedicated expert spotlight feature introducing you and your work to our readers.

We’re upfront that this “write for us” program is a credibility and visibility exchange, not a paid engagement — if you’re looking for paid freelance work, this program isn’t that.

How to Submit

We ask for a short pitch before a full draft, so we don’t ask for your time upfront on something that may not be the right fit.

Please email us with:

  1. A one-paragraph abstract/brief of your proposed topic
  2. Your credentials/background (A few lines are fine for now — we’ll get full bio details if we move forward)
  3. A link to your LinkedIn or professional profile

Send pitches to: [email protected]
Subject line: “Contributor Pitch: [Your Topic]”

We aim to respond within 7 business days.

If your pitch is accepted, here’s what we require for the full submission:

  • Human-written content — drafted from your own expertise and/or direct experience, not AI-generated.
  • Minimum 1,200 words, in a Word file (.doc or .docx format).
  • Every claim, statistic, or reference must link to an authoritative source (peer-reviewed research, government health bodies, or recognized institutions) — no citing other blogs or unverified secondary sources.
  • Any images included must be entirely free of copyright — either your own original images, or properly licensed royalty-free/public domain images with source noted.

Our Review Process

If your pitch is a good fit, we’ll confirm and ask for a full draft. All contributions go through our standard editorial process — fact review, and for disease-related content, our medical review process — before publishing. We may request edits for clarity, accuracy, or style; we reserve the right to make final editorial decisions on anything published on MosquiTalk website. See our Editorial Policy for more details.

A Note on Links

Author bio links are provided as “nofollow” — this keeps things transparent and above board for both of us, and in line with standard practice for contributor content.
