MosquiTalk’s content is only as trustworthy as the people who verify it. Our “Become a Reviewer” program exists to make sure every article touching mosquito-borne disease, health risk, technical entomology or pest control methods and tips is checked by someone genuinely qualified to confirm it — not just researched by us.
If you’re a licensed medical professional, public health expert, a credentialed entomologist, an experienced pest control operator (PCO), or mosquito researcher and analyst we’d welcome your involvement.
Who Can Become a Reviewer
We’re open to:
- Licensed medical professionals (physicians, nurses, public health professionals) — for content covering mosquito-borne disease transmission, symptoms, risk, and health guidance.
- Credentialed entomologists — for technical content on mosquito biology, species identification, and vector behavior.
- Experienced pest control operators (PCOs) — for practical control and treatment-method content, particularly where field experience adds real value beyond research alone.
Fit depends on the content area — a reviewer’s background should match the subject matter they’re reviewing. We evaluate this case by case rather than requiring one fixed credential for every topic.
What Reviewing Involves
- We send you a draft article relevant to your area of expertise.
- You review it for factual and clinical/technical accuracy, and flag anything that needs correction.
- Once you approve it, your name, credentials, and a link to your bio appear on the article as its named reviewer.
- Nothing is published under your name that you haven’t personally reviewed and approved — you have full control over what you’re credited for.
This can work as a one-off review for a single article, or as an ongoing relationship where we send you relevant drafts on a recurring basis — whichever fits your availability.
What Reviewers Receive
This is an unpaid, credit-based role — there’s no cash payment involved. Like our contributor program, we see this as a meaningful way to put real expertise toward public mosquito-borne disease awareness, not just a credential-building exercise.
In exchange for your time, reviewers receive:
- A dedicated Reviewer bio page with your credentials, background, and a link to your professional profile (LinkedIn, practice, or organization).
- Named credit as the reviewer on every article you review.
- Public recognition as part of MosquiTalk’s editorial standards, as described in our Editorial Policy.
- On request, we’re happy to discuss additional visibility options, such as a dedicated expert spotlight feature.
Reviewer bio links are provided as nofollow, in line with our standard practice for contributor and reviewer content.
